Pfeiffer University

David Smith was a superb player in his time with the Falcons men’s tennis program.  Playing from 1966-1969, Smith was an all-conference and all-district player, advancing to the national tournament in 1968.  As a junior, he achieved 23 singles wins against top flight regional and national competition.

Coached by Warren Knapp, Smith and the rest of his teammates faced the most difficult schedule in Pfeiffer men’s tennis history, and due to their successes are touted as the most talented and finest team in school history.
