MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Dec. 7, 2025) -- The Pfeiffer University men's indoor track and field team started the 2025-26 seaosn with a strong performance on Saturday at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kickoff at the JDL Fast Track.

Men's Highlights

Bricen Burleson's 4:13.25 mile was the highlight of the day, signaling national-level potential as the Falcons gear up for the rest of the indoor season.  Burleson's time set a new Pfeiffer program record.

• Sprints:
  Jordan Jones impressed in the 60m (6.95) and 200m (22.22), with Jonathan Moran-Sanchez close behind (7.23 / 22.48). T'Andre Palmer starred in the 400m, clocking 48.92 for one of Pfeiffer's top marks of the day. Jones' time in the 60m set a new Pfeiffer program record, as did Palmer's time in the 400m
• Middle Distance:
  Carson Ritchie (1:59.55), Fabian Candela-Godinez (1:59.82), and James Lysiuk (2:00.11) all broke the two-minute barrier in the 800m.
• Distance Dominance:
  Bricen Burleson headlined the men's squad with a stellar 4:13.25 mile, placing among the meet's elite. In the 3000m, Jorge Clemente-Garcia (8:36.08) and Cannon Powell (8:36.98) delivered strong finishes, while Alim Coleman ran 15:58.42 in the 5000m.  Clemente-Garcia posted a new school record in the 3,000m.
• Relays:
  The men's 4x400m 'A' team (Huffman, Deaton, Ritchie, Palmer) posted 3:28.66, with the 'B' squad finishing in 3:34.58.
• Field Events:
  Royal Qaadir led the jumps with a 6.50m long jump, while Kendrick Cornelius (13.47m) and Jordan Brooks (13.33m) excelled in the triple jump. In throws, Alec Paraiso (11.89m) and Cameron Sturdivant (11.27m) paced the shot put group, with Andre Davis recording 12.36m in the weight throw.
