LYNCHBURG, Va. (April 13, 2025) - Several new school records were set as the Pfeiffer men's track and field team had their last tuneup before the USA South Championship, as they competed at the Dennic Craddock Coaches Classic at the University of Lynchburg.
Leading the way, was
Cannon Powell, who won the 3000m Steeplechase in a school record time of 9:37.15, he also finished fifth in the 5000m, with a personal best time of 15:03.56

The 4x400 Relay Team, finished in second place with a school record time of 3:23.70. The team consisted of A.J. Huffman,
Ethan Byerly,
Carson Ritchie, and
Shevaun Daley.Â

Next was
Sawyer Helms, who finished third in the 5000 meters, in a school record time of 14:51.99.

Ethan Byerly broke the school record in the 800m with a time of 1:56.89.Â
Freshman
Drake Stewart won the long hump, with a jump of 22'3", which is the second-best mark in program history. Stewart alsofinished 11th in 400 hurdles and had personal bests in both the 100 and 200 meter races.

The Men's 4x100 Relay team of
Carson Grue, Jordan Jones, D'Eris Jackson, and
Shevaun Daley, also claimed a podium finish, claiming third with a time of 42.33.

Coleman Huggins, the defending USA South champion finished third in the 3000m Steeplechase with a personal best time of 9:50.17, which is the second-best mark all-time
