Misenheimer, N.C. (May 16, 2025) - Pfeiffer University freshman Drake Stewart has qualified for the NCAA Track and Field Championships in the high jump, as the NCAA released the selections for the upcoming NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships.

Stewart, a freshman from Greenville, S.C., becomes the first student-athlete to qualify for the NCAA Championship.  Stewart qualified for the NCAA Championships by clearing 2.06m in his eighth attempt at the Charlotte 49ers Invitational back in mid-March.  That mark ranks him 22nd in the nation in the event.

Stewart would go on to win the USA South title by clearing 2.00m, helping the Pfeiffer men's track and field team to their first team title.

The NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships will be held May 22-24 at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.  Stewart will begin competition on Friday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m.
