Winston-Salem, N.C. (Feb. 8, 2025) - The Pfeiffer University men's indoor track & field team was in action over the weekend, competing in the Camel City Meets on both Friday and Saturday at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Leading the way was
Cannon Powell who broke the school record in the 5000 meters with a converted time of 15:27.62, which earned him ninth place.
Freshman
Bricen Burleson had a great meet, his converted times in the 800 meters of 1:58.69 and 9:09.52 in 3000 meters, are #2 and #3 all-time in the Pfeiffer Track & Field record book.
Freshman
Oliver Candela-Godinez ran the fourth-best time in school history with a time of 2:02.33 in the 800 meters.
Shevaun Daley finished sixth 6
th in the 200 meters with a time of 22.87 while
Carson Ritchie made his debut in the 200 meters running a strong time of 23.49
The Falcons will next compete in the Joe LaRocca Invitational hosted by Roanoke College on Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Cregger Center.
