Charlotte, N.C. (March 23, 2025) - Four school records were set as the Pfeiffer University men's track and field team opened the outdoor season by participating in the 49ers Invitational in Charlotte this past Friday and Saturday.
Freshman
Drake Stewart started off the day, smashing the high jump school record with a jump of 2.06 meters (6'9"), his efforts helped him win the event.

Next up, sophomore,
Shevaun Daley broke the school record in the 400 meters, running a 48.99, which placed him 12th overall in the Division I heavy meet.

Junior
Sawyer Helms, broke his previous 10,000 meters personal by over 90 seconds, setting a newschool record in the process with a time of 31:13.82.

The Men's 4x800 meter relay team of
Andrew Huffman,
Trent Rivers,
Carson Ritchie, and
Ethan Byerly also broke the school record with a time of 8:05.66 finishing in sixth-place.
