High Point, N.C. (April 5, 2025) - The Pfeiffer University men's track and field team set four new school records at the VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point University at Vert Stadium.

Leading the way was Cannon Powell who set a new school record in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:50.76 which placed him sixth overall.
 
The Pfeiffer 4x100 relate team of Carsib Grue, Jordan Jones, D'Eris Jackson and Shevaun Daley also set a new record by clocking a 42.31
 
A.J. Huffman also broke a school record, running a 1:57.86  in the 800m. while teammate Sawyer Helms broke a  23-year-old Pfeiffer mark in the 1500m, running a time of 4:03.39.

Sprinter Shevaun Daley also had a tremendous meet, claiming third in 400m with a time of 48.37 and also running a 21.58 in the 200m.  He also ran a 10.81 in the 100m meters and anchored the 4x100 relay team that set the new Pfeiffer record.

In field events, freshman Drake Stewart finished sixth in the high jump with a jump of 1.95m
